SBC SURF – CANADA’S NEW SURF MAGAZINE HITS COAST TO COAST APRIL 11

For those who surf or wish they did, you'll be happy to know the premiere issue of SBC SURF, Canada’s first and only national surf magazine, is imminent.

Produced by the team at SBC Media (Snowboard Canada, SBC Skateboard, SBC Skier, SBC Wakeboard), the highly anticipated 172-page glossy SURF bi-annual will debut April 11. Look for it at your favourite surf, snow, skate or wake shop or corner newsstand wherever you live in Canada.

The new SURF mag is full of mind-blowing photography from both coasts. If you don't already know how great the Canadian surf is, and how dedicated our surfers are, you'll soon find out. Go barrel hunting on the West Coast, gain a local perspective on the East Coast, and join editor Malcolm Johnson and senior photographer Jeremy Koreski as they follow some of Canada’s best surfers on a search for exotic waves in Morocco. The issue is loaded with events, profiles, travel, technique and gear tips for and by Canadian surfers.

Here's what SBC SURF's Tofino, B.C. based editor, Malcolm Johnson has to say about the new mag: “We're proud to introduce a publication that will celebrate Canadian surf culture, serve as a resource for the Canadian surf community, and promote and preserve what we believe to be special and praiseworthy about surfing in Canada. There are a ton of talented athletes, photographers and writers involved in the sport here, so it’s very exciting to be able to give their work a voice.”

Canadian surfing is growing and growing, and our scene has been getting well-deserved recognition in the international surf media. Aside from the world class surf on both coasts, there are growing surf communities in the Great Lakes, and around standing river waves in Montreal and Alberta.
