The TELUS Triple Challenge is back for its 8th year at Blue Mountain Resort, starying this Thursday, March 11, 2010 and running through Sunday, March 13th. The anticipated event offers three days of intense competition, DJ showcases, amazing after-parties and killer spring riding. This year's event is sponsored by TELUS, Coors Light, Volkswagen, SBC Skier Magazine, Snowboard Canada Magazine and Electric Visual. Canadian radio and television personality Josie Dye, of 102.1 the Edge and Oh So Cosmo! fame, will be live location as the event emcee paired with Olympic halfpipe coach, Jesse Fulton and local pro rider, Harrison Grey. This is a chance for Ontario audiences to experience the thrills of events like the TELUS World Ski and Snowboard Festival in Whistler, BC or TELUS Spin at Mont Tremblant without having to leave their own back yard. New for this year's event is a central on-hill events site featuring the Slopestyle contest, Rail Jam and Big Air Finale all on Smart Alec. This new location provides prime viewing and easy access to all the Village shops, bars and after parties -- and a Coors Light beer garden. Saturday Night’s Big Air Finale, showcases some of the best pro riders in Canada. The celebration continues following the Big Air Finale at the legendary Coors Light After Party in the Grand Central Lodge. The DJ showcase will feature Fritz Helder and the Phantoms, who are signed on Nelly Furtado’s new label. As in past years, the Slopestyle and Rail events will be open to all riders so that those of you who think you can run with the top Pros have a chance to throw down.
