Aspen, CO – Kevin Rolland of France grabbed X-Games Superpipe gold with a sensational run that included three double flips. "That's the best pipe run I have ever seen by a skier'" declared X-Games commentator Mike Douglas.
Rolland threw down a double flip with a mute grab, an alley-oop 360, a double flair left to a double flair right and concluded with a double cork 1260 – an amazing three double flips – scoring a 95.00 and the victory. “I can’t believe it,” an ecstatic Rolland said. “It is huge, it is amazing and a dream come true. I have never landed three doubles. I am so happy; this is such a good feeling. I won the X Games, this is a dream come true.”

Rolland bested New Zealand's Jossi Wells who locked down the silver medal with a score of 92.00. Rolland's fellow countrymen and defending X-Games pipe champion Xavier Bertoni grabbed the bronze ahead of American favourite Simon Dumont.
“I am happy with how I skied,” Wells said. “I was most excited about my double flip and I couldn’t be more stoked for second place right now.”
