Retallack, B.C. – Whistler’s 19 year old big mountain phenom Kye
Peterson was voted winner of the 2009 Red Bull Cold Rush by his fellow
competitors, all among the best big mountain freeskiers in the world. JP Auclair and Sage Cattabriga-Alosa were voted 2nd and 3rd place
respectively.
One of the most progressive big mountain freeski contests of the year,
the Cold Rush featured a three event format consisting of Backcountry
Big Air (20%); Cliff Lines (40%), and Big Mountain Descent (40%). The
Cold Rush took place at the famed Retallack Lodge in the Selkirk
