WHISTLER, BC, November 27, 2012 – Powderhounds rejoice! On Saturday December 1, Whistler Heli-Skiing will open its doors for its 32nd season of untracked powder, endless terrain and breath-taking scenery.

“Early season conditions are looking great again this year,” says Mike Sadan, General Manager of Whistler Heli-Skiing. “We were able to scout out some of our terrain earlier this week and it looks like we are shaping up for another incredible season. With over 432,000 acres of terrain and the opportunity to ski huge powder vertical on any given day, heli-skiing is a must-do activity when in Whistler.”

For those guests looking to check heli-skiing off their bucket list, this is the year. Whistler Heli-Skiing is introducing a new Ultimate Whistler Experience Package for guests who have dreamed of heli-skiing since the first time they skied in powder. The Ultimate Whistler Experience Package is available from $1,515 CAD, plus HST, per person and includes:

·         Five nights lodging in a 4 star hotel located in Whistler Village, including the 5th Night FREE!

·         Three days skiing at Whistler Blackcomb, the No. 1 rated ski resort in North America

·         One day Heli-Skiing Elite Adventure Package with four powder-filled runs (approx. 6,000 - 10,000 vertical feet)

·         Bonus: Complimentary Fresh Tracks Ticket (one per adult)

After a full day of skiing and riding, the Whistler Heli-Skiing experience ends at the Bearfoot Bistro Après Heli Lounge. First introduced last year, the Après Heli Lounge was built specifically to host guests of Whistler Heli-Skiing and is the ideal venue to relive an amazing day on the mountain. Guests are welcomed to invite their friends and family to join as they view their photos and videos from the day while enjoying a gourmet spread of après fare catered by one of Whistler’s most elegant restaurants.

Whistler Heli-Skiing offers a variety of packages to skiers and riders from intermediates to experts. Grouped with people of similar ability level, and with a certified heli-ski guide, guests can experience the thrill of flying in a helicopter and the exhilaration of skiing or riding untracked powder through to April 21, 2013.
